How PRP Facials Work
PRP, or platelet-rich plasma, concentrates platelets from a small sample of your own blood to release growth factors and proteins involved in wound healing. Clinics adopted PRP because those biological signals support tissue repair; in facial applications this same biology is applied to stimulate the skin’s natural repair processes without introducing foreign materials.
Micro-needling creates controlled micro-injuries that encourage collagen and elastin production; when combined with PRP, the platelet-derived factors are delivered directly into the dermal layers. This combination targets visible lines, wrinkles, and uneven texture by supporting structural remodeling rather than removing tissue surgically.
The treatment and experience
A PRP Facial at our Carle Place spa begins with a brief consultation and review of your medical history. A small blood sample is prepared to concentrate platelets, then applied during micro-needling to the treatment areas. We follow standard safety practices and explain each step before starting.
Typical appointments take 60 minutes and are scheduled to fit busy local schedules; we price the service at $399. During that time we'll numb the skin as needed, perform micro-needling with PRP application, and provide post-care instructions so you know what to expect afterward.
Factors shaping your results
Several personal factors shape how your skin responds: age, baseline skin health, sun damage, smoking, medications, and recent cosmetic procedures. Seasonal climate in Carle Place can influence skin condition—drier winter air or summer humidity change hydration and may affect treatment planning discussed during your consultation.
Because outcomes develop as healing and collagen remodeling occur, improvements may appear gradually and vary between people. We encourage clients to discuss goals, realistic expectations, and any health questions with our team so the plan aligns with lifestyle, commute constraints, and timing around events or errands near Roosevelt Field or The Shoppes at Carle Place.
